A fabulous nose of creosote, charcoal embers, blackberry and cassis jumps up from this dense purple wine. It displays full body, superlative equilibrium, sweet tannin, a layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel and a terrific finish of close to 40+ seconds. Already delicious, this will continue to evolve handsomely for another 15-20 years. One of my favorite wineries, Beau Vigne?s 10-acre vineyard sits at a high 1,650-foot elevation in the southern Napa Valley, back Soda Canyon Road, overlooking the Pritchard Hill Gap as well as the Stagecoach Vineyard.
