Medium ruby-red, this wine opens with scents of currants and dried roses, grape pomace, and freshly tilled soil. The nose is nuanced with toasty oak imparting a subtle smoked meat character. Flavors of blueberries and blackberries mix with the warmth of vanilla and toasted bread. Silky tannins and striking smoothness. Mouthwatering, lengthy finish trails off with the taste of unsweetened chocolate and cassis.

A new California Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonanza is produced by Chuck Wagner, owner and winemaker of Caymus Vineyards. It reflects the “bonanza” of the great state of California – the discovery of land where delicious Cabernet can be farmed. Calling back to a time when good wine with dinner was a simple pleasure, Bonanza features flavors of dark berries, vanilla and toasty bread with silky tannins.

A deep red tinged with magenta, this wine has a serious nose with scents of mixed berries, toasted oak, aged leather and the whiff of smokiness from an outdoor grill. The entry entices with rich fruit, as blueberries mingle with traces of strawberries cooked down to their essence. Then the palate yields to textural softness, filling the mouth with luxurious dark chocolate and notes of vanilla and brown spice. A hint of sweet oak infuses the finish, which trails off with the taste of ripe berries and the granular texture of wood.
