Description
Bordeaux Book, 4th Edition Jan 2003 Robert M. Parker, Jr.Rated 88 Drink: Now Dark plum/garnet, this dusty, somewhat earthy, rustic wine does not lack for concentration and full body, but readers looking for finesse and elegance would be best advised to search elsewhere. The wine has plenty of smoky cassis intermixed with weedy tobacco and a distinct, loamy soil note. The wine seems to be close to full maturity, but I do not ever expect the tannins to become completely integrated. Anticipated maturity: Now Score: 89 Country: France Region: Bordeaux Issue: Mar 31, 1993 Thick yet balanced, with concentrated raspberry and cassis aromas and flavors, soft, ripe tannins and luscious fruit notes on the finish. Not quite as concentrated as the barrel sample.
