Score: 94 Release Price: $NA Country: France Region: Bordeaux Issue: Aug 31, 2000 Dynamite sticky wine. Wonderful aromas of lemon meringue and pineapple, with hints of vanilla. Full-bodied, very sweet, with lively acidity. This is a live wire. Superb. Hard not to drink it now.–1990 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2005. 3,000 cases made. JS Bordeaux Book, 3rd Edition Jan 1998 Robert M. Parker, Jr. 87 Drink: 1997 Although somewhat monolithically-styled, there is no doubting the 1990’s unctuously-textured, thick, sweet style. The color is light medium gold. The wine offers plenty of honeyed citrus fruit, in addition to smoke and vanillin. Medium to full-bodied, with good acidity, some evidence of botrytis, and a plump, low acid finish, this heavyweight, chunky wine should age nicely for 15-20 years. Anticipated maturity: 2016. Last tasted 3/97
